Baked Brie with Cherries, Raisins & Nuts
You will want to save this one to share with friends, or you better really love baked Brie. Perfect for a Christmas or Easter get together. For this recipe you will need a full wheel of Brie (ours are big, 1.2kg big). The trick to getting this right is to keep an eye on the brie as it bakes, the tell tail sign that you are nearly ready is a slight browning on top and a softness in the middle.
- Wheel of Brie – we recommend 1.2kg or thereabouts -
- Cherries - 30g
- Raisins - 20g
- Mixed nuts - 20g
- • Fresh sourdough bread (for mopping up!) -
- 1 - Place the Brie on a baking tray lined with baking paper in the over at 180oc for 20-30 min. You will want to check the Brie from 15 minutes for regular intervals to ensure it doesn’t burn.
- 2 - Once the Brie has baked, slide the Brie including the baking paper onto a plate or board. Decorate with the cherries, raisins and nuts and serve with a fresh sourdough bread.
