December Farm Update

We have a special relationship with our agronomist who we’ve known since University days – he gives us a program, we follow it intently until something else on the farm goes ‘bang’ then we redirect our funds and time towards repairing that, he gives us the look so we go back to the program.  We follow it intently until something else on the farm goes ‘bang’, we redirect our time and resources towards repairing that, he gives us the look again so we go back to the program.  We tend to repeat this process a few times throughout the year – and it’s been a fairly predictable routine over the past few years.

This year we didn’t have too many distractions and things are looking great.  The silage is wrapped, the hay is baled and the remaining Spring feed is still green and full of nutrition.  We took some photos to show him how good we’d been at following the program and are eagerly awaiting his gold star.  We’re also hoping he doesn’t do a drive-by and catch us out…
